IBEW Local Union 440 is proud of our long history in helping build & maintain Riverside County since 1939. Our mission is to be the collective voice for the many men and women employed in the Electrical, Fire Life Safety and Voice-Data-Video industries in our region.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) represents approximately 725,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. The IBEW has members in both the United States and Canada and stands out among the American unions in the AFL-CIO because it is among the largest and has members in so many skilled occupations. Labor-Management Cooperation
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 440 is a proud founding partner of the Inland Empire Labor Management Cooperation Committee alongside IBEW Local 477 and The National Electrical Contractors Association Southern Sierras Chapter.
The National Electrical Contractors Association’s Labor Partnership
Ensuring fair wages and benefits, as well as a unified skill set and training, for electrical workers serves the best interests of the industry and NECA customers. NECA’s national office, chapters, and member contractors have long practiced constructive and responsible labor relations in concert with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), the world’s oldest and largest union of electrical workers. Peaceful settlement of grievances and jurisdictional disputes are implemented at NECA’s national and local levels through cooperative forums.
