Learn About The History of Armstrong Plumbing, Air & Electric:

Armstrong is proud to be in our 84th year of operation. We started out in 1934 as Armstrong Supply Company when Mr. E.H. Armstrong was the only employee servicing Philco radios and selling appliances.

The character gracing our website and company publications represents our founder. We like to think the smile on his face shows his joy at being able to serve the people of Lubbock and all of West Texas. There surely were times in those early days when Mr. Armstrong had a tough time smiling. It was the heart of the great depression. Thousands of people were fleeing the southern plains as dust storms ravaged the region.

But things did get better. We have grown a lot since then and our name has changed throughout the years. In 1972, we started our plumbing division and it was called C & L Mechanical. Then, after Mr. Armstrong’s death in 1980, we merged Armstrong Supply and C & L Mechanical into Armstrong Mechanical.

Now, we have added electrical to our list of services that we provide. So, in order to better state who we are and what we do and are about, we have rebranded as: Armstrong Plumbing, Air & Electric. We are the same company with the same great people that you have been doing business with.

Through the tough times and the good times, the Armstrong family and dedicated team has been here to make life more comfortable for you, our clients. Today, we have more than 125 well-trained employees to serve all your residential and commercial needs. Thank you for working with us. We appreciate the relationships that we have had with our contractors, customers and vendors for the past 84 years, and we are looking forward to many more together.
