Mike Henry formed TES (Technical Electric Systems, Inc) in South Florida in 1990.  TES moved to DeBary, FL following Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and has been proudly serving Florida residents and commercial clients ever since.CONTACT US

Our team is committed to keeping you safe and also our employees safe.  Every potential employee receives a background check and drug screening prior to employment.  We employ licensed journeymen and master electricians here at TES.  All of our electrical apprentices are required to participate in regular electrical training programs taught by various educational facilities throughout the state.

Meet the President

Technical Electric Systems, Inc was founded in 1990 by Thomas “Mike” Henry in Miami, FL.  The company’s focus was computer and critical power systems, such as Data Centers, hospitals, and Aircraft systems.  Specializing in these areas, TES prospered in South Florida and grew to do projects throughout the country for specific customers.  The majority of our work included generators, UPS systems, and other DC systems.

“Mike” relocated to Central Florida in 1992 following the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew.  The quiet little town of DeBary, FL became the new home for Mike and his family (of 4 at the time) to grow and prosper.  Mike kept his Miami location open (TES South) and opened and new office in DeBary which today is known as TES North.  At first, it was a struggle to find the specialized work TES targeted.  The area did not demand those specific services; however, residential and commercial service and repair were becoming more requested.  So, with the demand for service growing, TES decided to open a service department and Andy Schulz was hired (in 2006) as our Service Manager.  Andy has been working and developing our service and commercial department for the past 10 years.

TES has grown to provide services in a number of different specialties.  From technical data centers to ceiling fans, TES can offer expert and knowledgeable service to fit any request.  Our team of technicians range from a Master electrician to licensed journeymen and apprentices all continuously working towards their next level of certifications.  TES has expanded its electrical license to multiple states as an unlimited Electrical Contractor in order to meet the needs of some of our multi-state clientele.

We are thankful to the community for embracing us and helping us grow into the company we are today.  With a list of customers, both big and small, TES is thankful for the opportunity to have created a great reputation while serving the Central Florida area.  We are excited and look forward to the growth and opportunities that are destined for our area.
